A series of meetings with international companies targeted for their potential to build or grow a presence in Massachusetts. Representatives from international companies are matched with representatives from the Massachusetts Office of International Trade and Investment, the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center and MassBio. Governor Deval Patrick, Boston Mayor Thomas Menino and other Massachusetts elected leaders and economic development officials will also participate.
3:30 p.m. Legislator of the Year Awards
Each year, BIO honors legislators who actively support innovation and the growth of the biotechnology industry in the state where the convention is held.
4:00 p.m. Pavilion Welcome Program: Celebrate the Patient
Join industry leaders, patient advocates, and disease foundations to honor the folks at the heart of why we do what we do—the patients. This short program will celebrate stories of the life-changing impact that medicines discovered, developed and manufactured in Massachusetts can have on the lives of patients around the world.
