Medical Device Overview
This 1-day course provides an overview of U.S. medical device regulations, including how to navigate the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), how to determine if a product is a device, how to classify the device, types of applications and how to determine which and when to utilize, and components of those applications.

Clinical Trial Overview: The Players, Process and Language
If you are looking to transition to a research position, this primer will help you become aquainted with the players, the process, and the terminology of clinical trials.

It is intensely demanding to successfully manage and demonstrate oversight of clinical trials, especially in the current development environment of regulatory scrutiny of the Sponsor’s relationship with vendors, cost consciousness, global programs, the use of numerous vendors and the need to become more efficient and process oriented. This modular seminar series will teach the major skills needed to manage successful clinical studies.

Drug Development for the Non-Scientist
This course was new in the spring but is back by popular demand! This course is an overview of the development and regulatory process for bringing a new drug, either a small or large molecule, to market. Participants will learn about drug discovery/product development as well as preclinical research, regulated clinical trials and post-approval commercial considerations.

MassBio members get a discount on registration and some companies qualify for the Massachusetts Department of Labor and Workforce Development’s Workforce Training Fund Express reimbursement program. Businesses that employ 50 or fewer workers, can apply for an grant that will allow purchase of up to $30,000 worth of training.
